Real Skin visual concept hero - skin line and light

15th Anniversary Visual Concept / Chapter 01

Real Skin

Real Skin is a 15th anniversary visual concept from EGDE, revisiting the relationship between skin, line, and fit through multiple bodies. This page begins the first chapter, recording the texture, tension, and presence that remain in TAKA’s body. Underwear touches the skin, follows movement, and brings the body’s outline into view. Beyond constructed beauty, it preserves the fluctuations and line strength that only real photography can leave behind.

Not overworked. Skin texture , strength of line, and presence as it is.

Visual Flow

Skin in motion.

01 / Texture Do not hide the texture of skin.

01 / Texture

Do not hide the texture of skin.

The way light enters, beads of sweat, the fall of shadow. Details left unoverworked quietly bring the body’s presence into focus.

02 / Tension Show even the tension.

02 / Tension

Show even the tension.

The angle of the strap, the way elastic sinks in, the line and hold that shift with movement. Fit shows itself in the details.

03 / Individuality Even in the same shape, it never looks the same.

03 / Individuality

Even in the same shape, it never looks the same.

Body type, skin tone, and posture change the way the line appears. Including those differences, we show the fit.

04 / Presence A gaze changes the air.

04 / Presence

A gaze changes the air.

The expression and posture that meet the camera head-on create tension in the photograph.

05 / Surface Give skin and material the same light.

Give skin and material the same light.

Gloss, shadow, and the dimension of fabric. Without overdecorating, we leave only the strength that feels like EGDE.

Behind the Scenes

Show the decisions before it becomes one image.

What Real Skin wants to reveal is the judgment behind the finished visual: the placement of light , the choice of angle , the model’s body awareness . Including the decisions made before the image appears, we let EGDE’s fit come through.

Focus 01

At a distance where skin texture remains.

Pose, light, distance, the reflection of material. A single cut cannot hold every expression, so we layer them from shifting angles.

Focus 02

Leave the traces of the shoot.

Skin reflection, wall texture, the tag resting on the shoulder. The instant before completion gives the photograph depth.

Focus 03

Let negative space sharpen the line.

Place the body at the center, using the darkness behind it and the window light to raise the contour. A quiet pause creates the flow into the next photograph.

Editing Note

Even the cuts we did not choose carry a decision.

One image where the light is too strong, one with too much space left, one where the body is still in motion. In Real Skin, we look at those fluctuations, then choose the moment where EGDE’s fit speaks most clearly.

What we want to show is not a polished answer, but persuasion that stays close to the body. Choosing the photograph, too, is part of EGDE’s making.

15 Years of EGDE

Real bodies. Real fit.

Fifteen years of EGDE hold more than size charts and patterns; they hold a point of view on how the body is seen. Real Skin is a record that layers the skin , lines, and fit EGDE has continued to study across different bodies. By accumulating an unoverworked real presence , it shapes the next expression of EGDE.
